Obama administration receives arts petitions
The Washington Post is reporting that activists want the administration to ensure that arts and music programs don't fall victim to the bad economic climate.

As far as I know, our district has not been intentionally curtailing arts or music, but the scheduling gurus seem to be able to make it extremely difficult to fit art, band, or chorus into an academic schedule. I've had to fight every year for my son.
You must live in my school district. Peters Township, perhaps?
